Hi there

Happy Friday! There's a saying the two best days are when you buy a boat and when you sell it.

Yesterday was THE BEST day! We bought a boat! As you can see my hubby Hoyt is loving it!

I was a bit nervous but our maiden voyage went great! My mom is here with us for the summer. Yesterday was her birthday! We took her out for a boat ride and then had a lovely birthday dinner! It was a really great day!

We're excited to do some more boating this weekend!

This weekend my mom's birthday celebrations continue! My daughter Ireland is flying in and my son Riley will be here too! We're going to make all of her summer favorites! She loves anything lemon and chicken!

On the menu this weekend is my Best Ever Lemon Chicken. This chicken is so juicy and lemony! It's way to hot to turn the oven on. In summer I make this on the grill in a foil pan.

It's AMAZING! You gotta try it this summer!

Saturday night is always steak night in our house. My mom loves flank steak. I love it too! One big flank steak feeds all of us.

My Ginger Soy Flank Steak is ALWAYS a winner! I slice against the grain in thin strips.

The marinade is what makes this steak juicy and over the top yummy! You can use it for other cuts of steak too! So good!

This weekend, I'm gonna to try to keep it all outside. Even the side dishes,

My Fancy Baked Potatoes go with whatever you are grilling. These are so crazy easy. I wrap them in foil and cook them on the grill! You can add cheese and bacon too.

Every summer dinner needs a big beautiful salad. This Strawberry Spinach Salad is my go to! Everyone loves it!

It's a taste of summer! The light homemade poppyseed dressing is one of my favorites! Easy breezy to shake up in minutes!

Speaking of strawberries, I just picked up some beautiful berries.

Use them to make my no bake Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle.

You can layer this in one big clear bowl or trifle dish or make minis and layer this in wine glasses, small mason jars or even clear plastic cups.
