Cherry Recipes and More for a Delicious July!

TGIF! Summer sure is flying by! It's cherry time! We live less than a couple hours from beautiful Door County. It's so beautiful there in the summer! It's cherry central! They grow lots of different varieties. It's so fun to pick your own. From fresh cherries, to frozen and dried cherries, I love them all!

One of my favorite things to make in the summer is chicken salad. It's a great way to use leftover chicken. My Door County Cherry Chicken Salad is always a huge hit! Perfect for showers and book club meeting. It's great to have in your fridge for easy lunches or nice light summer dinners too! No time to cook the chicken, no work. Speaking of salads. We love to start summer dinners out with a big beautiful tossed salad. This Cherry Pecan Salad with a delicious light quick and easy homemade cherry vinaigrette is a taste of summer. It's so fresh and yummy! Goes with whatever you are grilling. Toss it up this weekend!

Why not make a special breakfast this weekend. We love doing a nice brunch at home on Sundays. This Cherry Almond French Toast is AMAZING! You can even frozen cherries from the grocery store.
