Bonjourno from Tuscany! I hope you had a great week! I'm in Italy for my annual Cooking Mom Vacation and it's been fabulous! We have a such a fun group and we've had perfect weather! It's been sunny and warm everyday here! We've spent time eating our way around the thriving city of Florence! We've also visited smaller charming towns like Arrezo, Siena, and Cortona,  where the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun", was filmed.  We've toured wineries and taken a few cooking classes too! The food here has been AMAZING! The tomatoes are so fresh! The pasta is the best ever! When I get home I can't wait to try some of the new Italian recipes I've gotten here! Go tomatoes and peppers that need using? My Italian Tortellini Pasta Salad is a great way to use those end of summer garden veggies.  It makes a big batch and it's perfect to have in the fridge for lunch or a nice light dinner.  My kids love pasta salads! For dinner my Hot Italian Beef Sandwiches are ALWAYS a WINNER! Just throw everything in the crockpot and after a long day, dinner is done and the house smells so good. LOVE THAT! These are perfect for game day too! Click Slow Cooker  for more easy breezy recipes. 

Speaking of game day, my Green Bay Packers are off to a great start! This weekend they take on the Atlanta Falcons at home! My  Baked Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches are great for tailgating! You wrap each sandwich in foil and heat them on the grill.  You also bake them in the oven and keep them warm and toast in slow cooker or Nesco roaster.  The buttery spread makes these sandwiches extra special! You gotta try these! I buy the rolls and ham when they are on sale on Sundays at most groceries stores.  Click Sandwiches for more of the favorites. So yummy!
