Hi Cooking Moms, Dads & Friends, I hope you had a great week! The leaves are starting to change here in Wisconsin. It’s getting really pretty! I just love this time of year. Only one problem, after fall comes winter. YIKES! But, this winter I’ve got a plan to beat the blues. Join me! This trip is going to be a blast! This weekend I’m excited to hit the farmers market. I can’t wait to pick up all our fall favorites! I’m hoping to find a big beautiful local head of cauliflower. I’ve been craving my Roasted Cauliflower! I roast it with a little garlic, olive oil and lemon juice. Then, I sprinkle it with Parmesan cheese right when it comes out of the oven. Oh man, is it good. Good for you, too! I love to serve it with my great grandmother Nana’s Meatloaf! Maybe my Wonderful Wedge Salad with Best Ever Bleu Cheese Dressing, too. Now, that’s one heck of a delicious fall dinner. Total yum! This weekend is a good one to make a big batch of soup. My Hungarian Sausage Soup is something a little different and wonderful. It’s really hearty and delicious, filled with potatoes and sausages. It will warm you right up on a cold fall day. Super easy too! I serve it with crusty rye bread or my 4-ingredient home made Beer Bread for dipping and dunking. YUMMY! Speaking of potatoes, I don’t know about you but I want mine loaded! My Slow Cooker Loaded Potato Soup is so simple to make. Just dump all the ingredients in your slow cooker and in a few hours dinner’s done. Perfect for game day too! I serve it with bowls of extra cheese, crumbled bacon, and green onions or chives so everybody can load up their bowls with goodness. I’m all about putting on a delicious fun game day spread! My Sweet Little Pigs are always a winner! I’m all about a good dip, too. My Hot Swiss Almond Dip is perfect for fall! You can throw it together in minutes and bake it when you are ready. I serve it with crackers or French bread for dipping. You just gotta try it. It’s heavenly!
