Hi Cooking Moms, Dads & Friends, Happy Friday! I hope you had a good week. Yesterday was my birthday and I wanted to thank so many of you for making it special! I was feeling the love big time! From gorgeous flowers to a nice long hike in the woods with Arlo, it was a wonderful day! Hoping to make this weekend special too. It’s Mother’s Day this weekend! I know it’s going to be a lot different this year. I won’t be able to see my 2 kiddos or my mom, but they will be right here with me in my heart! I plan to do everything I can to celebrate. Making fun, delicious meals is so important now more than ever! It just gives us all something to look forward to. Don’t you agree? I think we all need a little sunshine and butterflies right now! Why not treat yourself and your family to my Cinnamon Roll and Sausage Butterflies? How CUTE are these? Get the kids into the kitchen. Have them help make and decorate them. What fun! My Sticky Bun Coffee Cake is an extra special treat to wake up to. Mom will LOVE it! I know I sure do. I also love that you throw it together Saturday night before you go to bed. Then just put it in the oven Sunday morning and wait for the house to start smelling like cinnamon and sugar and all things wonderful. Now take it out of the oven and bring it warm to the table and watch everybody pull it apart and devour it. No knife necessary but plenty of napkins are a must. Ooey, gooey, and AMAZING! It’s so good with My Absolute Favorite Brunch Bake, Brown Sugar Bacon, and my Fruit Salad with Honey Poppy Seed Dressing! Now, that’s one delicious holiday brunch! Click Breakfast & Brunch for more of my favorite recipes. Have you heard? I’m cooking from my kitchen LIVE on Facebook. A huge THANK YOU to all of you who are watching daily. As long as we are stuck home, I’m going to keep on cooking and doing what I do best! I’m sharing simple recipes to help get you through this difficult time. You can see me at 3:30pm CST LIVE weekdays! On the weekends, I try to make something that seems a little fancy. My Skillet Bow Tie Pasta with Chicken and Sun Dried Tomatoes will make you look like a total rock star! Nobody needs to know how easy breezy it was to make. My Elegant Ham and Chicken Casserole is another WINNER! If mom likes seafood, why not treat her to my Shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo? It’s so EASY and DELICIOUS! Click Dinner and Casseroles for more yummy recipes. I always like to start dinner with a fun, festive salad. My Spinach Salad with Sweet and Sour Dressing is one of my FAVES! The dressing is super easy and so tasty. You probably have everything to make it in your kitchen right now. Click Salads for more sensational recipes. For dessert, got bananas that need using? Throw on an apron and make homemade Banana Bars. That cream cheese frosting is AMAZING! And I always say get those kids in the kitchen! Have them help make mom my Flower Pot Cupcakes or Flower Pot Desserts. So adorable, and much cheaper than flowers. Mom will love them! Click Desserts for more fun, easy, to-die-for sweet treats. Mom Would Love a Cookbook or Treat Yourself to One!If you like my recipes, I think you and your mom will love my cookbooks.
