Hi Cooking Moms, Dads & Friends,

Happy Friday! It’s a big weekend. We’ve got Mother's Day on Sunday. YIPPEE! Plus, today is my birthday! I want to thank you for all of your love, kindness and support over the last year. You kept me cooking and got me through some tough times. Thank you for enjoying my recipes, secrets and stories. It means the world to me! I promise to keep on cooking and doing what I do.

In fact, next week I’ll be on TV in Minneapolis. I’ll be in-studio on Twin Cities Live. It’s the first time I’ve been able to be LIVE in studio there in more than a year. I’m so excited! Hope you’ll watch!

The other reason I’ll be in the Twin Cities is because my daughter, Ireland graduates from the University of Minnesota next weekend. WOW! That flew by! I can’t even believe both of my kiddos, Riley and Ireland, are all grown up and college graduates. I’m one proud momma! We cooked up some series memories together. They always wanted to be in the kitchen with me. Thank goodness they still do! I won’t be able to see my 2 kiddos or my mom this Mother’s Day but I’ll see them all very soon, and they will be right here with me in my heart!

I’ve always been a big believer in getting the kids in the kitchen. Sure it can be a bit messy but I always say that’s what vacuums and dogs are for. LOL! Here’s a fun idea for this weekend. Why not make my Cinnamon Roll and Sausage Butterflies? How CUTE are these? Have the kids help make and decorate them. What fun! I think we all need a little sunshine and butterflies right now!

My Sticky Bun Coffee Cake is an extra special treat to wake up to. Mom will LOVE it! I know I sure do. I also love that you throw it together Saturday night before you go to bed. Then just put it in the oven Sunday morning and wait for the house to start smelling like cinnamon and sugar and all things wonderful. Now take it out of the oven and bring it warm to the table and watch everybody pull it apart and devour it. No knife necessary but plenty of napkins are a must. Ooey, gooey, and AMAZING!

On the weekends, I try to make something that seems a little fancy. My Elegant Ham and Chicken Casserole is always a WINNER and perfect for Mother’s Day or a special spring dinner!
