Hi Cooking Moms, Dads & Friends,

TGIF! I hope you had a great week. February can seem like a long month here in Wisconsin. I say you gotta do something to change things up and have some fun. Fat Tuesday is coming up. Why not celebrate at home with a fun dinner?

I’ve got a brand new recipe I’ve been working on that I think your gang with really dig! It’s something a little different. It’s super delicious and super easy on the wallet too because it uses an inexpensive can or pouch of salmon. It’s also perfect for Lent. Click Switch Things Up with Salmon Burgers to read my new blog post and get the recipe.

If you like shrimp you’ll love my Cajun Shrimp! It always gets the party started! Great as an appetizer or the main course. It’s delish! I serve it with crusty bread to sop up every last bit of the buttery cajun sauce. Total yum!

Speaking of shrimp, why not get out the crockpot this week and make Slow Cooker Shrimp Bisque? It’s AMAZING and so easy breezy!

I love Jambalaya, but sometimes I just don’t have the time. Precooked rice and andouille sausage makes my Weeknight Jambalaya so simple you can get it on the table in 15 minutes or less. I’m serious!

I serve it with a Big Batch of Homemade Cornbread and Honey Butter! If you can’t get to New Orleans it’s the next best thing.

Click Dinner, Slow Cooker, Sandwiches, Soups, and Side Dishes for more super good recipes.

For dessert, in honor of Mardi Gras why not make Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce? Warm out of the oven it’s ooey gooey and just to die for! Click Desserts for more decadent dessert recipes.

My New Culinary Trip Will Be Announced Next Week!

You all have been asking. Where are we going next? In September 2019, I hosted a group of 35 people on the trip of a lifetime to Tuscany. It was incredible! We learned how to make pasta, toured Italian wineries and did so much more!

Next week I’ll be announcing my new big trip. It’s going to be really special so stay tuned!

I hear there are just a couple spots left on my river cruise through Germany this coming September 2020. I’d love to have you join me! We have a fun group! Click Culinary Vacations to read more and imagine the fun we'll have!

You can also click German Grandeur River Cruise to read more, or call 866-463-6946 to reserve your spot.

This weekend we have not set plans. I love weekends like that! I got new cross country skis for Christmas so I hope to get out on the trails and use them this weekend. It’s supposed to be sunny and beautiful here!

Next, Friday I’ll be on TV in Milwaukee cooking up some meat free recipes for Lent. I hope you’ll watch! You can always see what I’m up to on Facebook and Instagram. Follow me!

Have a great weekend. Stay warm and cook up some memories!

Take care,
Amy, The Cooking Mom
