Hi Cooking Moms, Dads & Friends, I hope you had a great week! It’s my daughter Ireland’s last week of winter break. We’ve been in Naples, Florida hanging out at the beach and enjoying the most gorgeous sunsets. Today is our last day here. I take her back to college at the University of Minnesota this weekend. It’s always hard to say goodbye, but it’s so great to hang out and we’re super excited for the weekend and the big game! The Packers play the 49er’s in the NFC championship game. Let’s just say all of us cheeseheads in Wisconsin are PUMPED! GO PACK GO! Every great football party has to start with a delicious dip. For the Packers games I like to go with lots of team colors. My Green and Gold Layered Bean Dip is always a hit. Plus, you can make it ahead! SO GREAT! Want to do something a little healthy for the new year? Make my Lemon Garlic Hummus. Serve it with green and gold veggies like cucumbers, yellow and green peppers for dipping! Go ahead dip away because it’s guilt free! LOVE THAT! My Brat Bundles are a family favorite! They are a must at my game day parties. I serve them with German mustard. They are always a winner! Speaking of brats I have a secret way to make them. My Brat Tub is a great way to go! No way I’m gonna be stuck outside grilling on game day! Make them ahead and keep them nice and cozy in your slow cooker with butter, beer, kraut and onions. So good! My Brat Grinders are super fun too! It’s my Wisconsin twist on the classic Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. Get out the napkins though because these bad boys are ooey, gooey and a bit messy! Click Appetizers and Sandwiches for more fun game day recipes. When it’s cold outside I love to serve soup too! My Slow Cooker Cheesy Broccoli Soup is perfect for the big game! I love my slow cooker especially for this time of year! On Monday I’ll be on The Jason Show in Minneapolis. Hope you’ll watch! I’m making my Slow Cooker Honey Lime Chicken. It’s perfect for busy weeknights or the big game. Healthy too! Click Soups, Nice ’n Lite and Slow Cooker for more recipes. For dessert, get the kids in the kitchen to help make my Football Brownies. They are so easy and cute! Click Desserts for more fun dessert recipes. Order Amy's Cookbooks! If you like my recipes, I think you'll love my cookbooks!
