Hi Cooking Moms, Dads & Friends,

I hope you had a great week! It got cold here in Wisconsin. It even snowed! The trick or treaters really had to bundle up last night.

Got leftover Halloween candy? We always seem to have it. Use it to make my Snickers Dip. I serve it with crunchy apples, graham crackers and pretzels for dipping. It’s the ultimate no-bake dessert! Everybody will go nuts over it!

Another great way to use up that candy is make my Fall Snack Mix. Just pop some popcorn, throw in some pretzels, candy corn, Reeses Pieces, and some dried cranberries and almonds if you like. Put it in a large bowl and watch it disappear. Perfect for movie night or the big game. Great for packing in lunch bags too!

Speaking of movie night, why not pop some corn and make my Homemade Caramel Corn this weekend? It makes the house smell so good! Warning! This stuff is dangerous! Dangerously delicious that is! Click Appetizers for more fun fall munchie recipes.

I can’t believe it’s November already. Thanksgiving will be here before you know it! Now is a great time to start trying a few new recipes for the holidays. I always love to add a few new dishes that will really WOW everybody! This year I’ve got the perfect new dish! It was a HUGE hit with the ladies in my gourmet dinner club. It’s super easy and you can make it ahead. Click Up Your Side Dish Game with my Cheesy Corn and Green Chile Casserole to read my latest blog post.

My slow cooker has been getting a real workout this fall. It’s such a life saver on those crazy busy days. With the snow here in Wisconsin this week I’m craving comfort food and recipes to warm up like my Hot Beef Sandwiches. They are the best ever! Just dump everything in the slow cooker in the morning and by dinner time you’ve got some killer hot sandwiches.

It’s a great weekend to make a pot roast too! My Sweet Chili Beef Roast is a family favorite. Serve it with my Loaded Potato Casserole or Twice Baked Potatoes. I get a nice big chuck roast and then you can use the leftovers to make burritos or BBQ beef sandwiches late in the week. Cook once and get a few different meals out of it. LOVE that! Click Sandwiches, Sides, and Slow Cooker for more recipes.

The weekend is a great time to make a big batch of soup. My Taco Soup is a real winner! After a long day a bowl of this soup makes everything better! It’s perfect for the big game too! Double the recipe and just keep it warm in your slow cooker. Put out a bunch of taco fixin’s like shredded cheese, sour cream, and my favorite - Fritos! Everybody can top their bowls with their FAVE! What fun! Click Soups for more super easy soup recipes.

For dessert, try my Pumpkin Bars. They are always a hit!
